Highbanker Selection and Thoughts
Legs and leg brackets. If you are going to build a double / extended sluice highbanker, which you should, you will often need 4 SETS of legs and leg brackets. These can easily run $25 – $35 a SET. It's not unusual to have $150 in just your LEG system. Then you still have to find a shop to make flares, bend metal, grizzly bars, etc, etc, etc.
Difference between highbanker and sluice box?
Building your own and testing/modifying in the field can be just as rewarding as getting more gold from an already built and tested unit. There are so many variations out there it's a good idea if you can to have a crack at a few of other peoples units to see what style or features you want in a highbanker.
